Holland Park Sinfonia makes its debut. A 74 piece ensemble performing works from the Golden age of Hollywood. Max Steiner’s suite from ‘Casablanca‘, Richard Addinsell’s ‘Warsaw Concerto‘, played by Mario Miralles Garcia, Khachaturian’s ‘Adagio of Spartacus & Phrygia‘, and Korngold’s suite from ‘The Private Lives of Elizabeth & Essex‘. Finishing off with an encore of ‘My Funny Valentine‘ by Lorenz & Hart. A packed house of more than 150 attendees.

SUMMER CONCERT

The 80 piece orchestra returned to St Peter’s again, for a packed house, with a blockbuster programme. Opening with Puccini’s lyrical ‘Preludio Sinfonico’, written when he was 23. Followed with Barber’s glorious ‘Violin concerto‘, played by Charlie Lovell- Jones, a 27 year old Welsh violinist – Classic FM Rising Star 2026 and concertmaster of the award-winning Sinfonia of London. In the second half, they deliver a performance of one of the most monumental works in musical history, Rachmaninoff’s ‘Symphony no. 2‘. They ended the evening with a light hearted encore, playing Eric Coates’ ‘Knightsbridge March’.

THE HOLLAND PARK SINFONIA JAZZ ORCHESTRA

The Holland Park Sinfonia introduce their Jazz orchestra, a 12 piece string section with a jazz band, making their debut at the legendary jazz venue – Ladbroke Hall, at their annual patron social evening. They performed old lush classic songs, including some tunes by Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and many more, arrangements by musical figures such as Robert Farnon, Neil Richardson, Richard Rodney Bennett, John Wilson and more.
